Learning Support Teacher - permanent

Manurewa High School - one of the largest multicultural schools in Aotearoa, with over 2,200 students, serving a predominantly Pasifika and Maaori community and dedicated to working in mana-enhancing and culturally sustaining ways. We are looking for an enthusiastic, well-organised, fully registered teacher to join our dynamic Learning Support Team as a Specialist Teacher. With the support of the team, you will work in partnership with rangatahi with ORS funding, and their whaanau/parents/caregivers, teachers, teacher aides, specialists, MOE, and other external agencies to identify and meet the individual needs of these students.

• knowledgeable about systems and process, able to ensure legislative requirements are met;
• committed to reducing inequity, improving inclusion and educational opportunities for students with special educational needs.

For overseas teachers looking to relocate to New Zealand to teach, the terms and conditions including base salary for this position is set by the relevant collective agreement.  The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $59,305 to $95,400 depending on applicants qualifications and experience.  Individuals actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
