English Teacher

We are looking for an enthusiastic and student-centred practitioner to join our dynamic and diverse English learning area team. The ideal candidate would have experience with junior English and NCEA English. You will need to be someone who can work collegially and collaboratively with the wider English and Media Studies team to serve our aakonga. A commitment to equity, a strong localised curriculum and culturally sustaining pedagogies is essential in our learning context. 

We are one of the largest multicultural schools in NZ, with around 2,200 students. We serve a predominantly Pasifika and Maaori community and are dedicated to serving our school community in mana-enhancing and culturally sustaining ways. For overseas teachers looking to relocate to New Zealand to teach, the terms and conditions including base salary for this position is set by the relevant collective agreement.  The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $59,305 to $95,400 depending on applicants qualifications and experience.  Individuals actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed
