We are looking for an aspiring or experienced English or English and Media Studies Curriculum Leader (1-2MU depending on experience) to join our diverse and dynamic English and Media Studies Learning Area team. You will lead part of our English and/or Media Studies programme based on your strengths and interests. This work will involve curriculum, course, and pathway design as well as managing assessment and tracking processes. You will need to be someone who can work collaboratively and collegially with our English & Media leadership team and the wider department. You must be a relational and student-centered practitioner who demonstrates effective classroom practice. We are looking for someone with strong culturally sustaining pedagogy and knowledge of the NZ Curriculum.

For overseas teachers looking to move to New Zealand to teach, the terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the relevant collective agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $59,305 to $95,400, depending on applicant’s qualifications and experience. Individuals’ actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
The successful candidate will commence at the start of 2024.
