We are looking for an exceptional English teacher to join our collaborative, collegial and diverse English learning area on a 0.6 load on a fixed term basis. The ideal candidate is someone who has experience teaching junior and NCEA English. To serve in our kura you must be a relational and student-centred practitioner who demonstrates effective classroom practice. We are looking for someone with a commitment to equity, strong culturally sustaining pedagogy and knowledge of the evolving NZ Curriculum.

For overseas teachers looking to relocate to New Zealand to teach, the terms and conditions including base salary for this position is set by the relevant collective agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $59,305 to $95,400 depending on applicant’s qualifications and experience. Individuals’ actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
