Business Manager Vacancy

Marist College is a Catholic school for girls situated in Mt Albert with students ranging from Years 7 to Year 13.  We are currently seeking to employ a Business Manager to advise and support the Principal and Board of Trustees in the management of the school finances, office management and administrative services.  

The successful applicant will have responsibility for:

  • Managing College finances on behalf of the Board and Principal
  • Constructing and managing the College Budget and to work with the Principal and Board Finance Committee
  • Managing the generation of revenue in balance with expenditure so that financial actions are both effective and efficient in terms of the school’s priorities 
  • Managing payroll system for both teaching and non-teaching staff
  • Managing human resources and employment contracts for teaching and non-teaching staff
  • Managing the year end annual accounts process and liasing with auditors
  • Initiating reviews of support staff employment conditions and ensure the accuracy of payments to all staff in respect of remuneration, reimbursements and allowances
  • Managing all school contracts and assets
  • Managing designated support staff

 A current clean drivers licence is required, great time management and the ability to interact appropriately with students, staff and the Marist community.  A police check will be required.

 This role is full time 40 hour per week/52 weeks per year employee. 8:00am – 4:30pm. Pay rate as per the Support Staff Collective Agreement, Executive Management Group.
