We seek a skilled and motivated Samoan Language Teacher that lives our school whakataukī of ‘Piki Atu ki te Rangi – Aim High, Strive for Excellence’ and exemplifies our school values of Respect, Excellence, Whanaungatanga and Akoranga.  

We need this person to be: 

• Passionate about teaching and learning 
• Able to teach Samoan to all year levels 9-13 (able to speak other languages a bonus) 
• A team player and willing to be supportive of a team culture
• Committed to education and open to learning 
• Experienced or willing to be supported in a digital learning environment
• Willing to make a commitment to the school’s restorative and culturally sustaining practices
• Interested in building and fostering whaanau and community relationships

For overseas teachers looking to relocate to New Zealand to teach, the terms and conditions including base salary for this position is set by the relevant collective agreement.  The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $59,305 to $95,400 depending on applicants qualifications and experience.  Individuals actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
