Music Teacher (Permanent, Full-time 2025)

  • The ability to teach Brass up to NCEA Level 3. 
  • The ability to teach Drums up to NCEA Level 3.
  • The ability and drive to be involved in an extensive co-curricular programme including Rockquest and Tagatabeats groups as well as Concert and Jazz Bands
  • The ability to be able to generate online content including using Adobe suite for design projects including digital media; videos, posters and brochures.
  • Is expected to be involved in our Kaitiaki mentoring programme.
  • Strength and ability in Music technology both live sound and recording is an advantage.
  • Committed to the school's restorative and culturally sustaining practices. 

For overseas teachers looking to relocate to New Zealand to teach, the terms and conditions including base salary for this position is set by the relevant collective agreement.  The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $59,305 to $95,400 depending on applicants qualifications and experience.  Individuals actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
